Review Display Widget vs. Review Display Widget Pro.
What is the difference?
The Review Display Widget is the free version that only displays reviews left on your My Listing page.
The Review Display Widget Pro displays reviews left by a customer on your My Listing page and those left on your preferred sites such as Google and Facebook. (Please note we are not able to display Yelp reviews).
How do I control what reviews get published?
In Reputation Management, go to Reviews > Review Display Widget.
If the account does not have the Review Display Widget Pro, use the top dropdown menu to choose which My Listing reviews will be shared to the widget. If the account has the Review Display Widget Pro, choose from the bottom dropdown menu to publish reviews from 3rd party sites. Your options are:
- Publish manually (Manually choose which reviews to publish by clicking the button on the Manage Reviews page)
- Automatically publish all reviews
- Automatically publish 2-star reviews or higher
- Automatically publish 3-star reviews or higher
- Automatically publish 4-star reviews or higher
- Automatically publish 5-star reviews
Note: Facebook Not Recommended reviews are considered 1-3 star reviews. Facebook Recommended reviews are considered 4-5 star reviews.
How do I get my Widget Code?
To display the Review Display Widget on your client’s website, go to the client’s Reputation Management account > Reviews > Review Display Widget. Edit the widget to suit the business’ website branding. Click the Copy Widget Code button to copy the HTML code to your clipboard.
There may be certain reviews you do not want published so follow the instructions below.
The Review Display Widget may have a positive impact on the search results for your website.
The Review Display Widget improves SEO
Though Google doesn’t release details about its algorithm for Search Engine Optimization (SEO), many SEO experts believe that having reviews on your website can help you to move up the search results. Having star ratings also increases “search engine results page click-through-rate” (SERP CTR), which indirectly improves your organic rank.
The Review Display Widget uses “schema.org markup” which is supported by Google “structured data.” This is a standard for how you label data on your website so that browsers and search engines can interpret it and know what it represents. This means that it can identify that a review on your site is actually a review.
The widget is also set up so that the “Aggregate Rating” data is included in the number of reviews and the average rating. This is how Google knows what star rating to include in their search results. Of course, you can’t guarantee that the star rating will appear in the search results since that is up to Google but we have done everything we can to make it possible to show up.
How to remove specific reviews from displaying in the Display Widget
To remove certain Google and Facebook reviews from displaying on the widget, go to Reputation Management > Reviews > Manage Reviews > and select the “Share” icon, which gives you the option to “Unpublish from Review widget”:
